“Stand-Off” is a Karenswood trade mark
The suit originally intended for the ‘Stand-Off’ exercise was the brainchild of Alan Sims. No other individual ororganisation can claim originality. After giving birth to the idea, Alan Sims created a style. The heavily reinforced canvas is designed to give confidence to handlers performing the stand-of exercises because it offers protection against the ‘sly nipper’ whilst allowing more freedom of movement and greater mobility.

Of course, the added confidence enjoyed by the occupant of the suit results in less fidgeting , thus directly assisting the dog itself to succeed in the exercise. But it has gone further than that. The versatility of the suit and its inherent practical qualities have caused it to be in demand in quarantine kennels and by local council dog wardens.
